Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays. It is such a great time of the year and this one is a bit different than the ones in the past. We are spending it in Tulsa OK. It was a long day driving here but we have been enjoying our time with our nieces and Ralph's brother and Kathy. Little baby Lyla ( my great niece) is so precious. She is 4 months old and coos and smiles and we are loving being around her! We spent the last couple of nights counting the money from the Salvation Army kettles. Ralph's brother is a captain in the S.A. and this is part of his job, so it feels good to do a little bit of volunteer work. We will be leaving here sometime this wknd. We both feel ready to see something different. Tomm. is my birthday. Don't know what our plans are yet, but I am very happy to be spending it with family, yet I do miss the rest of my family and friends on the Ridge and elsewhere. Until next time... wishing all a very Happy Thanksgiving and a holiday full of peace and light.

on the road again........
We are in Missouri now. Our wonderful neighbors threw us a going away party Tuesday night and then we drove to Lewisburg, W.Va. to visit our friends Frank and Susan and their 2 kids. Lots of laughs and good food. Thursday, onto Charleston, W. Va. and styed with our niece and her beautiful baby girl, Lyla. Played Wii for the first time(carnival) had a blast. I'm addicted, big surprise! Drove 9 long hours to Missouri and we are staying in Raymond and Mary's house. We have our own basement suite, it's huge and beautiful. Will be here for about 3 days then onto Tulsa,OK to stay with Ralph's bro. Really great to see everybody and hang out and appreciate all their hospitality. We really are blessed with good people. Later.....

Still in Va.
I've been busy with last minute details, got a magic jack for the phone so we can make long distance calls for free! Had a wonderful lunch with Ralph, my sponsor and her mom! We will be leaving Va. next Wednesday. Still working on our itinerary. We will be crossing the border at Eagles Pass in Texas which then will be Piedras Negras in Mexico. I have researched this crossing and it is the safest one. We are staying away from all the hot spots. We will cross early in the morning and then move on. Our first stop will be Cuatrociengas.( 4 deserts). This is an oasis in the desert. More will be revealed...

Still in Virginia
Well, we just moved back into our old house to house sit for 2 weeks and then off to visit some friends before we actually cross the border. Lots going on and still lots more to do. Found homes for my dog and cat and am grieving that but moving on. I'm new at this blog stuff so here's hoping it will work. Until next time.....
